Post-grad life comes with many changes, both emotionally and professionally. But one thing I’ve recently reconnected with is my personal style. While I’ve shared bits of my emotional journey and beauty routines, I’ve neglected an important aspect: fashion, and how it plays into post-grad life.

Now that we’ve transition from summer to fall, I am sharing a trend that I love and how I transition a summer wear to a fall wear (and even winter too) Whether it’s a trend I found through my YouTube playlist or something inspired by my imagination, Fall fashion is truly the perfect time to experiment and master the art of layering.

How to Style Denim on Denim for Fall 2024

On the second day of fall, I embraced one of my all-time favorite trends: denim on denim. It’s a timeless look that’s perfect for transitioning into the cooler weather, offering both comfort and style. For this look, I chose a denim jumpsuit—a piece that’s casual yet chic and perfect for layering. Since the air had that crisp fall chill, I paired it with a white button-down shirt underneath. This layering trick not only kept me warm but also added dimension and texture to the outfit, seamlessly transitioning my denim jumpsuit from a summer staple into a fall-ready ensemble.

To give the look some edge, I accessorized with a studded belt, adding a subtle yet bold touch that broke up the denim and emphasized the waistline, creating a more structured silhouette. For the finishing touch, I threw on a caramel-toned outerwear piece—the perfect hue for fall, which complemented the neutral tones of my outfit while adding warmth and coziness.

What I love about this look is how easily it came together with just a few classic pieces. The white button-down and denim blazer are both from Rainbow, showing that great style doesn’t have to break the bank. This ensemble shows how you can make denim on denim work for fall by playing with layers, textures, and accessories to create a look that feels effortless yet polished.

If you’re looking for a way to rock denim on denim this fall, start by building around a core piece like a denim jumpsuit or jeans, then layer with light, versatile pieces. Accessories like a belt or statement jacket can elevate the look, while adding both warmth and personality to your outfit.

While I grew up in a warmer climate, it’s hard not to get caught up in the excitement of fall fashion—there’s just something about the season that invites creativity and layering. As I continue documenting my style journey this fall, I hope you’re reminded that the key is to have fun with your wardrobe, regardless of whether you follow trends or not.

Stay tuned for more fashion tips and fall outfit inspirations—I’ve got plenty more ideas up my sleeve!
